Who this subject is for:
This subject is a non UE Subject, however it can be easily tailored to UE for selected students that require it. It is also designed for students who want to continue studying science without specialising.
What you will learn in this subject:
Components of the course are made up from Physics, Education for Sustainability, Biology and Earth and Space Science. Up to 20 credits can been earned from the standards listed below.
This course is largely enquiry based where students will develop both research and practical based skills which can lead on to further study and careers in the environmental sciences, as well as providing credits for vocational courses predominantly under construction and infrastructure, primary services and social and community services.
Where this will lead:
Possible careers include, environmental engineer, landscape architect / gardener, surveyor, water treatment, agriculture / horticulture consultant, bio-security officer, quarantine inspector, ranger, quality assurance officer, conservator, customs officer, urban and regional planner and the list continues.
