Where this subject will lead:
Level 3 Biology and then onto science-based university courses. Apprenticeships and science-based Polytechnic courses.
Recommended Prior Learning
What you need to be able to do and know to achieve in this subject:
To achieve in this subject students should have completed Year 11 Science. However, anyone can achieve in Biology if they are interested and motivated.
This course focuses on students investigating and developing their understanding of the living world. It covers aspects of ecology at the Rocky Shore, diversity in plants and animals, cells, the impact of human activities within ecosystems and current Biological issued, such as Covid-19. Students will be provided with opportunities to develop their investigative skills through field work.
